Man arrested after Woodhouse house fire

A man was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after a fire in Woodhouse.

Police and firefighters were called to a house fire in Marlborough Gardens, Woodhouse on Friday, June 5.

A man who was inside the burning property received treatment at the scene for smoke inhalation.

A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "A 46-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent in connection with this incident.

"Inquiries are currently ongoing to establish the exact cause of the fire."
