Leeds primary school makes 'rainbow of hope' for key workers during coronavirus crisis

The pupils at Hollybush Primary in Bramley are 'keeping positive' as they get stuck into crafts and other activities.
Children of key workers and vulnerable children are still attending schools in Leeds, which are shut to most pupils during the coronavirus lockdown.

Hide AdClass teachers Mrs Clayton and Mr Popple came up with the idea of making the big rainbow in the playground and sending out a message of hope.
They encouraged pupils at home to send in their rainbow pictures.
Headteacher Briony Robertson said: "We are keeping positive and sending our thoughts to all the key workers out there.
"Also thinking of all those children who can’t be with us today and we're encouraging them to send us their rainbows."

Hide AdIn Morley, PSCO Michelle Owners spotted a handmade note which thanked NHS workers, postal workers, delivery drivers, supermarket staff, support workers, police and armed forces.
She tweeted a picture of the sign on Wednesday and said: "Saw this sign on my travels on Fountain Street in Morley, thank you whoever created it.
"We all really appreciate the support for all of the key workers."
