Primary and secondary schools in Leeds have been hit by closures today (Wednesday 18) due to coronvairus concerns or staff needing to self-isolate.

Four schools are fully closed, while 18 others have been forced to close individual year groups.

Thousands of people in Leeds have signed a petition to close all schools in the UK and the Health Secretary said the issue is being kept 'under review'.

Abbey Grange CofE Academy - Closed to Years 8, 9 and 12 due to reduced staff numbers.

Allerton Grange High School - School is only open for Years 7, 8, 11 and 13, plus children of parents who are working in the NHS

Bishop Young Church of England Academy (formerly DYCA) - Only open to students in years 7, 10 and 11.

Crawshaw Academy - Closed to Years 8 and 9 due to high levels of staff absence.
