Yeadon's Murgatroyds bagged the number one spot and was also awarded the TripAdvisor Travellers Choice award in 2020. One reviewer said: "Ordered food to pick up. Took 30 minutes to get back home where we heartily tucked in to our eagerly awaited tea. Food was still hot, perfectly cooked, excellent quality and batter was crispy to the last mouthful."
2. Wetherby Whaler, Wetherby
The original Wetherby Whaler, in Market Place in Wetherby, bagged the number two spot. It also achieved a Traveller's choice award in 2020. One reviewer said: "This fish and chips at the whaler were simply lovely the batter was crisp and the fish white chips and mushy peas were all lovely. What a lovely meal with good and friendly service. And a good atmosphere in restaurant well worth a visit next time your in Wetherby"

The Skyliner chip shop in Austhorpe bagged third place. One reviewer said: "Fantastic quality fish& chips. Lovely staff. No surprise they have won many awards. We will definitely come here again."

The Wetherby Whaler site in Guiseley came in fourth place. One reviewer said: "The fish & chips here are delicious. Excellent quality haddock with crisp batter and lightly fried chips. Service as always was excellent, with the extra mile attention advising my dad on his ice-cream toppings."
