You too can learn how to be a HEART fundraiser in Headingley.
An informal presentation about the £1m project to transform the now-closed Headingley Primary School into an enterprise and arts centre will be held at Salvo's in Headingley on Tuesday, July 1, from 7.30pm to 9pm.

Canapés and a glass of Prosecco will be served during the evening at the restaurant's first-floor Enoteca Bar.

Headingley Development Trust (HDT) is behind the community-led project to create the Headingley Enterprise and Arts Centre (HEART).

Part of the fundraising plan is the launch of an innovative community share scheme which will give individuals and businesses the opportunity to become a shareholder.

The shares target is £100,000 – more than £80,000 worth have already been bought. It is envisaged that HEART will be a community, café and enterprise space housed within an eco-friendly school conversion.

More details can be found on the HDT website: www.headingleydevelopmenttrust.org.uk

For £5 event tickets ring (0113) 2755017.
