They are the three Headingley bands who've already proved a hit with judges in the music competition that helped set Corinne Bailey Rae on the path to stardom.
Now I Call Shotgun, Paper Pushers and The Great Outdoors, who are are among the winners of of this year's Bright Young Things contest, are ready to wow the Leeds public as well.
The acts will be playing a series of eagerly-awaited showcase gigs in the city next week. And music lovers are being urged to make the most of a rare chance to see the chart-toppers of tomorrow in action.
Bright Young Things 2008 co-ordinator Luisa Golob said: "Who knows where these acts are going to be in years to come?
"It could be a real claim to fame for someone to say they saw them in the early days."
The showcases are being held at The Faversham and the TJ's@WoodhouseClub venue over five consecutive nights, starting on Sunday. They and their fellow winners were picked out from scores of entrants to Bright Young Things, being held this year for the 12th time.
Organised by Leeds City Council's arts and regeneration unit, it aims to provide a springboard for the area's most promising musical talents.
The finalists scooped a professional photoshoot and free studio time plus the chance to perform at the showcase concerts. The competition's previous entrants include chart-topping songbird Corinne Bailey Rae and Kippax band The Music.
