A fundraising ladies' night in Headingley raised more than £7,000 for poverty-stricken children.
The sell-out event at St Chad's Hall was organised by the Leeds branch of the Islamic Relief charity, which has projects all over the world and works alongside Oxfam and Children in Need among others in crisis-hit regions.

The evening – attended by 400 women and girls – featured a fashion show of the latest Asian and ethnic inspired catwalk styles. An auction of items donated by local families and businesses also raised hundreds of pounds.

Co-organiser Rifhat Malik said: "It was a fabulous night of fundraising."
