It looks like something from 1950s America and wouldn't seem out of place on Grease or Happy Days.
But the Pink Ladies and the T-Birds won't be found here... because this nostalgic milkshake bar is in 21st century Headingley.
Shaky Jakes, which has just opened on North Lane, serves more than 200 different milkshakes, with flavours ranging from Cadbury's Caramel and Ferrero Rocher to treacle tart, Jammie Dodgers and even Weetabix.
The café, complete with pink decor and a 1950s-style payphone, is the brainchild of Katie Duxbury, 27, and fiance Patrick Windle, 28, pictured left.
Shaky Jakes, which also serves old-fashioned Yorkshire ice creams, coffee and cakes, is Katie and Patrick's first company.
The couple both have degrees in business management.
Patrick said they were considering applying for a licence to sell alcoholic milkshakes, both in the café and at nightclubs in the city.
