A ROOFTOP restaurant and champagne bar is in the pipeline for the new John Lewis site in Leeds.

City Buzz understands that John Lewis – the anchor tenant at the £165m Victoria Gate scheme – is looking to take on champagne experts Searcys.

The venue will include a retractable canopy and would sit atop the 255,000sq ft store, which is made up of eight levels.
