This is the shocking moment a brazen thief stole a car in Harehills - just seconds after the owner pumped up a tyre.

The victim was pumping up a tyre at the rear of his Nissan Qashqai on St Wilfrids Avenue on Monday (Jan 21).

Just seconds after the victim entered a property on the road, the thief was spotted rushing over to the vehicle before jumping in and speeding off.

In the footage, the suspect approaches the vehicle before looking through the window and entering.

A police appeal has now been launched.
