Police issue updated on investigation into Headingley baseball bat incident
Police say that a man arrested following an incident in Headingley at the weekend is suspected of an affray offence.
West Yorkshire Police were called just before midnight on Saturday to reports that three people were attacking a vehicle with baseball bats in St Anne’s Road.
A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries.
A spokesperson today said that the suspect was arrested on suspicion of affray and taken into custody, before being released under investigation.

Hunslet fight arrests: Police issue update on investigation
Police have released an update on a fight in Leeds which left two men with facial injuries.
Officers were called to an ongoing fight in Parnaby Terrace, Hunslet, at about 7.30pm on Friday.
Four men from Leeds - aged 25, 32, 33 and 60 - were arrested in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson said three of the men had now been released without charge, while the 32-year-old remains on bail as the investigation continues.
Search for driver as cyclist hit by vehicle is taken to hospital
A cyclist has been taken to hospital with suspected fractures to her hip and wrist after being hit by a vehicle.
The collision happened at the junction of Armley Ring Road and Cockshott Lane at around 12.15pm today.
West Yorkshire Police says the driver of the vehicle fled the scene and officers are working to identify them.

Police guard scene outside Leeds shopping centre after assault
Our photographer Simon Hulme captured these images of police guarding the scene outside Swinnow Shopping Centre after a man was assaulted.
The victim received serious head and facial injuries and is currently in a stable condition in hospital, police said earlier.
