Bailey Peacock-Farrell welcomes competition posed by arrival of Jamal Blackman at Leeds United
Peacock-Farrell finished last season as first-choice goalkeeper at Leeds following a string of impressive displays having been handed his opportunity following continued errors by Felix Wiedwald with the 21-year-old eventually also preferred to Andy Lonergan.
Wiedwald and Lonergan have now left the club but Leeds have moved to bring in another likely first choice goalkeeper by signing 24-year-old Blackman from Chelsea on a season-long loan.

“All Championship clubs always need at least two first-choice goalkeepers now, that’s how it is,” said Peacock-Farrell.
“I think me and Jamal - he is coming here to play games but I’m here as well and I want to be playing games, so the competition is going to be there and it’s going to be a nice healthy competition for the whole season.”
Leeds will begin their pre-season friendlies this evening at League Two outfit Forest Green Rovers for a 7pm kick-off for what will be new head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s first game in charge.
