Leeds Sunday League: Memorable results set Kirkstall up for '˜double'
Crusaders faced fellow Leeds Sunday League Championship foes East Leeds Celtic in Thursday’s Jubilee final and Drew McMillan bagged the match-winner in a 1-0 victory.
The two teams will now meet again this Sunday in the final of the Hope Leeds United Members Cup.

Hide AdKirkstall cruised into the final with Sunday’s 5-1 defeat of Leeds Sunday League Championship leaders West Leeds Wortley. Mark Whittam bagged a brace for Kirkstall who were also helped a goal each from Ash Thompson, James Douglas and Anthony Williamson.
Adam Butterworth struck for West Leeds but they were swept aside and will now wait and see if Crusaders can overhaul them at the top of the Championship.
Wortley are five points clear of second-placed Kirkstall but only have one league games left whereas Crusaders have four games to go after being in action last night at Halfway House Bramley. Wortley were also in action last night at West Leeds Armley.
Sunday’s other Hope Leeds United Members Club semi-final saw East Leeds Celtic record a comfortable 6-0 win over Premier Division side East End Park WMC to reach their third cup final this season. A Joe Phillips brace took him to 35 goals this season with his double supported by two from Dale Venables plus one each from Prince Mujuru and Carlos Simoes.

Chapeltown Fforde Grene have cruised their way to the Terry Pears Premier Division title after scoring 14 goals in four days. Fforde followed up a 7-0 mid week win over East End Park WMC with a 7-1 away win at West Leeds Wortley.
The hosts took a surprise lead through Deacon James but Fforde stormed back with a Tinque Fishley five-timer plus a goal each from John Allinson and Jason Stapleton. Harehills WMC were another Premier Division side netting two wins in quick succession.
Following a Thursday night 2-0 win over West Leeds Farnley, they played host to Richmond Hill on Sunday and ran out 1-0 winners thanks to a late own goal.

Hide AdOnly one game was played in the Championship on Sunday and it was bottom club Woodcock AFC’s turn to gain a welcome three points thanks to a 4-2 home win over third-bottom Bramley Villagers. Chris Ward’s brace plus a strike each from Dylan Price and Luke Cook outweighed the Villagers efforts of Chris Fletcher and Phil Robson.
