Leeds United suffered a fresh injury blow to striker Patrick Bamford in the first half of Saturday’s Premier League clash at Southampton.

Whites no 9 Bamford went to ground off the ball shortly before the half hour mark before then receiving treatment on the St Mary’s turf.

A quick decision was then made to take Bamford off and the striker walked himself off the pitch as Dan James was brought on to take his place in the striker role in the 28th minute.

Leeds were already without fellow forward Joe Gelhardt who was not named in the matchday squad.
