Wales boss Rob Page on hotel incident involving Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts

Speaking after last night's 1-0 World Cup Qualifying win at home to Czech Republic, Page was keen to move on from the matter and insisted it was 'done and forgotten.' Roberts, along with Hal Robson-Kanu and Rabbi Matondo, were sent home from the Wales camp on Monday following a breach of the curfew put in place for players in the team hotel. The Leeds attacker posted an apology on his Instagram account. "Gutted to be leaving the camp early but rules are rules and I shouldn't have been up in the hotel later than the set time," he said. "Sorry to the team, staff and Wales fans. I will continue to work as hard as I can to earn my place in the squad for the Euros." Missing out on the penultimate international before Wales' delayed Euro 2020 involvement will have come as a bitter disappointment for Roberts, but Page has suggested there will be no further ramifications. "The incident is going to stay in-house," said Page. "We have dealt with it. It's done and forgotten. Everyone is on a level playing field, we have drawn a line under it, we've moved forward." Page is currently in charge of Wales while Ryan Giggs remains on leave following an arrest on suspicion of assault.
