‘Will be gutted’ - Leeds United reaction to Marcelo Bielsa’s links to Bournemouth

Former Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is being linked with a surprise return to England with Bournemouth. The Athletic have reported that the Cherries are ‘exploring’ a move for the Argentinian as they remain without a permanent manager.

Bielsa, 67, rocked up at Elland Road in 2018 and got the Whites into the Championship play-offs in his first season at the club. However, they lost over two legs to Derby County in his first year.

The former Athletic Bilbao man then guided the Yorkshire outfit to the title in his second term at the helm. Leeds then subsequently finished 9th in the Premier League but he was sacked in February of this year after a tough past campaign and was replaced by current manager Jesse Marsch.

Bielsa is a hero among the supporters and could now line up against his former club with Bournemouth as they weigh up their next move. Here is what some fans have been saying on social media about the news...
