The Rooftop at East Parade: The secret Leeds city centre bar which has a live DJ and serves alcoholic slushies
And tonight, Leeds-based DJ and producer Pete Melba is performing live at The Rooftop at East Parade bar.
The ‘secret’ venue is hidden by an entrance at the rear of the bar on Park Cross Street, and is guarded by a pass code which changes every day and can be accessed through The Rooftop’s Instagram page - @eastparaderooftop.

Taking walk-ins only from noon until close at midnight today, manager Amy Matthams wants everyone to be able to ‘have a good time’ this weekend.
She told the YEP: “We want our bar to be fun and upbeat, especially with our live DJ addition.

“We have views over Leeds, we get to see sunrise and sunset and we can make the most of the full day of sun on our very open roof.”

The bar has recently extended its opening times due to demand, and is open every week from Tuesday to Sunday - rather than Wednesday to Saturday as originally planned.

Hide AdMiss Matthams said: “We’ve had queues right down the street for the bar since reopening and we’ve attracted a lot of people who had never heard of us or been before.
“I think we actually underestimated the demand, no-one could have predicted how popular we’d be and we actually have quite a limited amount of outdoor space.
“That’s why we’re doing walk-ins - we want to avoid disappointment and give everyone the chance to come and say hello with the flexibility to stay as long as they want.
“We’re a small bar and where people wouldn’t necessarily just walk past us, we get a good crowd from those who tell us ‘my friends said I needed to come here’.

“We might not be able to dance just yet but we’re bringing a good energy to Leeds.”
